Mr SM Asif has hailed the recently presented Union Budget but equivocally he has demanded more attention from the Government for provisioning of employment opportunities for the minority communities in India. Under his leadership Tasveer-e-hind foundation has drawn a self-employment plan for minority communities and he intents to write to the Prime Minister to support this income generation scheme and providing Self-employment to the educated unemployed Youth.
The pilot project under the aegis of our Foundation will be launched in the State of Uttar Pradesh with an annual target of 2.5 lakh beneficiaries in the current financial year. Unemployed Youth in the age group of 19-35 years, who are Matriculates and above will be eligible for this scheme. Mr Asif has stressed on the need to absorb ITI passed youths, technically trained persons and even educated widows who will be given due preference plus free training at two training centres to be established at Bulandshehar and Lucknow.
Tasveer-e-Hind Foundation will tie up with Indian Railways, telephone and electricity companies to have a one-stop consumer services window with an automated procedure to support the services being proposed. Each kiosk will have the potential to absorb two youths and generate a tidy income of Rs. 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per month per youth.
A minimum of 50% ventures would function through industry-route while 30% of the ventures would relate to the service sector and the balance of 20% would relate with the business sector.
A composite loan not exceeding Rs 50,000 per youth is proposed with a 25% subsidy to be provided by the Govt. and 25% by the Tasveer-e-Hind Foundation. The Govt must ensure that Banks do not require collateral guarantee or margin money for such loads.
Mr Asif reiterated that 40% of the total beneficiaries will be reserved for Muslim youths, 30% SC/ST persons, and 30% for other minority communities.
