Unfortunately India is riddled with militancy and State sponsored terrorism. Such is the state of sponsored terrorism that atrocities are often heaped on children and most incidences go unnoticed. Many self-righteous underground elements in the states of North East and in J&K or even in some Southern States of India are supposedly using children and forcing them to become links in the logistic network and even training them to use weapons along side their main fighting elements besides using them as shields to keep the security forces at bay.
Tasveer-e-Hind Foundation realises the consequences for such atrocities and intents to rehabilitate the children in conflict zones by sponsoring their education and fighting their legal cases (where they have been implicated by law for fighting against the State). Our Foundation realises that if the child soldier does survive this spell of "forced service in the conflict zone ", he would still be left high and dry with negligible education and indoctrinated with hatred and venom and that will render them most unsuitable for any constructive role in society and they would then often take to deadly route of drugs, HIV & AIDS and death.
While the Government is trying for long to come to some settlement with militant and insurgent groups to spare the children and work towards resolution of differences in an amicable and ‘politically correct’ manner, Tasveer-e-Hind Foundation wants to create a fund for direct use by the volunteer groups and NGOs in the conflict zone in order to set up the ‘first response system’ in the affected States to put an end to this social evil and rehabilitate the Child Soldier before the situation turns grave.
