Lower Assam Medical College and Hospital…

In the lush green environment of Chappar Distict, 46 acres of land has been earmarked for a fully residential and self-contained campus for Lower Assam Medical College and Hospital (LAMC&H). The college will follow the norms and objectives laid down by the Medical Council of Indian as per the Act and the Government of India.

The designed capacity for the students are likely to be in the range of 550-600 students for MBBS course besides running courses for nursing and paramedical staff. LAMC&H will provide an opportunity of a career in medicine to many promising students of Assam and North East, which has a large share of the minority community and they were denied of this opportunity because of either ‘domicile’ restrictions imposed by other States or due to lack of similar facilities in their own State. The hospital, intends to meet the medico-social needs of various communities of Assam and neighbouring states and cater for different economic status.

Tasveer-e-Hind Foundation pledges to remain committed to adjust its various services/facilities of general nature and teaching to the present requirements of the society of the North East and Assam in particular. The broad objectives of the 500 bedded multi-disciplinary teaching hospital are cited on our website. The hospital building is being planned with the highest specifications of eco- friendly architecture and technology and that too based on new concept of modular system with self-contained modules for different functions with vertical requirements and a central core which will take away the use of unending corridors of the traditional hospital buildings constructed in the past.

We are sanguine to make LAMC&H hygienically clean and infection free, in best of the practices and ethos of medical sciences.
